Nothing is uploaded anywhere; the image never leaves your device.

This is a rough, automated estimate - it quantizes your image's colors mechanically rather than the way a person would actually plan a chart (merging similar shades, picking real floss matches, adding backstitch outlines), so treat the color count especially as a ballpark, not a shopping list.
