Enter your design's stitch dimensions (found on the chart itself, or in the pattern's listing) and your fabric count to get the finished design size and how much fabric to actually cut, margin included.

Margin is added to all four sides - enough spare fabric to mount, hoop, or frame the piece without stitches running to the very edge. 3" per side is a safe default for framing; add more if you plan to lace the piece for mounting.
